Position Information: 

Position Name:  Assistant Media Investor

Location:  Dallas, TX

Experience:  2+ years' related experience, preferably working in an advertising/marketing agency


Successful candidate will have: 

1. 2+ years' related experience, preferably working in an advertising/marketing agency

2. Understanding of media placement for all markets

3. Excellent understanding of media buying and planning

4. Ability to pull reports and resolve media discreps


Job Summary:

The primary responsibilities of the Assistant Media Investor include working directly with media investors on TV, radio, and cable invoices/discreps for all assigned markets and clients. as prescribed by media director.


Education &/or Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, or 2+ years’ related experience &/or training; or equivalent combination of education & experience


Language Skills: 

Ability to read, analyze, develop and interpret marketing and media materials. Ability to fluently read, write and speak English.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define marketing needs, develop ideas, collect data, establish facts, and buy media within specs given.


Essential Responsibilities:

85% Support

  • Pull UM/NR reports for all clients for their markets and provide to Broadcast Investor via email
    • Resolve not received invoices
  • Resolve television, cable and radio discreps which includes verifying traffic along with meeting deadlines
  • Negotiating and inputting of makegoods, under delivery weight and/or bonus weight, if needed
  • Collect and compile added value quarterly
  • Compile PBA’s on monthly basis for all markets assigned
  • Maintain all Nielsen and Nielsen audio downloads, download Nielsen overnights and call letter updates
  • Assist media accounting when necessary (locating invoices for the unlinked report)
  • Front desk back up based on appropriate schedule

  • Train with Media Investors and Supervisors  to learn buying responsibilities
  • Assist Media Director, Director of Media Operations, and/or Media Planner/Supervisors with various departmental projects

General Duties: 

  • Fosters a positive attitude among fellow agency associates
  • Attend weekly staff meeting, contribute to the communication and sharing with media team
  • Manages all projects on time and on budget
  • Completes expense reports no longer than 30 days after expense incurred
  • Adheres to all company policies
  • Assists with other agency projects, as requested
