Position Information: 

Position Name:  Paid Social Specialist

Location:  Dallas, TX

Experience: 2-4 years 

 

Successful candidate will have: 

1. 2-4 years’ experience working in an advertising agency or related experience

2. Experience in assisting lead strategy and execution across paid social media for client accounts

3. Understanding of how paid social media connects to the overall media channel plan

4. Ability to assist in client problems by building and executing a plan that incorporates integrated/innovative thinking

 

Job Summary:

The Paid Social Specialist position will be responsible for working with the media and digital teams to align goals and understand needs in order to recommend the most effective paid media opportunities on social platforms.  As part of the team, this position will assist with generating media ideas and support marketing initiatives intended to across multiple accounts and will also assist in the responsibility of ensuring the media plans align with the overall channel strategy.

Qualifications

Skills Required: 

  • Experience of native Paid Social campaign management technology, Facebook marketing partner platforms like 4C, Polygraph, Sprinklr, among others
  • Experience with social listening platforms such as Brandwatch or Spredfast Intelligence
  • Experience with bid optimization platforms as well as data/analytical tools and digital ad tracking techniques and strategies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects through effective levels of organization and delegation to meet tight deadlines
  • Understanding of how paid, owned and earned media intersect and ability to identify how/when to engage each discipline to enhance all communication plan efforts as needed
    • Overall social management experience a plus
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly detailed and results-oriented
  • Self-driven with strong work ethic
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; pivot tables, and other advanced techniques a plus
  • Self-starter, motivated within

Communication Skills: 

  • Ability to read, analyze, develop and interpret marketing and media materials
  • Articulate ideas well and support positions effectively
  • Be a good listener, receptive to the ideas of others
  • Give directions clearly and effectively

Education &/or Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, or 2-4 years’ related experience &/or training; or equivalent combination of education & experience

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Develop paid social media recommendations
  • Keep abreast of new paid social technology/tools/platforms
  • Participate in meetings to understand client’s social and search needs, objectives and goals
  • Assist in activation of all paid social buys by providing recommendations on budget allocation, media timing, media pressure, tactics and KPIs
  • Particular focus (but not limited to) Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat with both reach and conversion objectives; expertise in entertainment, ecomm, retail and restaurant categories preferred
  • Ability to understand and analyze the conversion funnel including click path analysis, lead gen and on-site conversion
  • Onboarding of new clients, development of pixel strategies, and custom audience builds
  • Assist in bridging communications and efforts of Communications Planners and Digital/Social Strategists to ensure client objectives are achieved and consumer experience is maximized across unpaid and paid social elements
  • Assist with managing budgets and purchased activity; assist in lead strategy and implementation of buy optimization including A/B testing of ads
  • Campaign analysis and reporting for multiple clients and markets; provide insights and action steps to improve buys and plans YoY or campaign to campaign
