    Job Summary:

    The Media Assistant will assist in development, implementation, and maintenance of media plans and buys for client accounts across all types of media.

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, or related-field, or equivalent (courses in media planning and account planning a plus)
    • 1+ year(s) related expereience and/or training; or equivalent combination of eduction and expereience

    Applications Preferred:
    Microsoft Office Suite (must have working knowledge of Excel), Mediaocean OX (other media planning/buying software knowledge such as Strata SBMS is acceptable), Simmons (other research databases such as MRI is acceptable, Kantar Strategy

     

    Language Skills:

    Ability to read, analyze, develop, and interpret marketing and media materials, ability to utilize computer to successfully manage MediaOcean OX and Excel, ability to fluently read, write, and speak English

     

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to define marketing needs, develop ideas, collect data, establish facts, plan media within specs given.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Assist media team in the media plan and buy development, implementing and maintaining media objectives and strategies
    • Prepare and maintain budgets, flowcharts, competitive analysis and other client documents
    • Monitor all media orders and handle makegoods
    • Manage all buys across MediaOcean DS systems
    • Work in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint as well as a variety of planning tools
    • Meet with sales representatives to analyze value and applicability of media vehicles to client media plans
    • Assist in digital media reporting and optimizations
    • Support in media trafficking
    • Assist in monthly reconciliation and processing with accounts payable
    • Effectively communicate with supervisors, account team, media team, and clients
    • Track all media buy activity and assist with post analysis

    General Duties:

    • Have a service-oriented, problem-solver attitude with Clients and team members
    • Foster a positive attitude among fellow agency associates
    • Contribute to the communication and sharing within the media team
    • Be a self-starter and manage all projects on time and on budget
    • Complete expense reports no longer than 30 days after expense incurred
    • Adhere to all company policies
    • Assists with other agency projects, as requested
