  • Overview

    Job Summary:

    Knowing that the role of media continues to evolve rapidly, we are looking for media professionals who want to work in an environment that embraces change. We are looking for team members who want to deliver first-class communications strategies that employ integrated contemporary thinking. A successful candidate will:

    • Have the ability to solve client problems by building and executing a plan that incorporates integrated/innovative thinking
    • Understanding of how to build a multi-channel paid media strategy, including broadcast, print, digital, and out-of-home
    • Have experience working with multiple agency disciplines, including brand planning, creative, account service
    • Desire to contribute to the success of media team members


    Education &/or Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, 4+ years’ related advertising agency experience &/or training, or equivalent combination of education & experience
    • Experience working with multiple agency disciplines, including brand planning, creative, account service

    Software Experience: Microsoft Office, Mediatools/Workhorse, Mediaocean


    Skills Required: 

    • Ability to manage multiple projects through effective levels of organization
    • Understanding or eager to learn how paid, owned and earned media intersect and ability to identify how/when to engage each discipline to enhance all communication plan efforts as needed
    • Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
    • Proficient analytical abilities
    • Working knowledge of online tracking and reporting technologies
    • Track record of generating innovative media solutions
    • Highly detailed and results-oriented
    • Self-driven with strong work ethic

     Communication Skills: 

    • Ability to read, analyze, develop & interpret marketing & media materials.
    • Articulate ideas well and support positions effectively
    • Be a good listener, receptive to the ideas of others
    • Give directions clearly and effectively


    • Develop and execute effective media plans in all paid media channels to support client campaigns
    • Proactively seek and/or develop innovative media solutions
    • Utilize Broadcast, Digital and Out of Home teams as thought partners in building the overall strategy
    • Work in an integrated way with other disciplines, including brand planning, creative, account service, etc.
    • Prepare and present recommendations internally and to clients
    • Travel to meetings based on client needs
    • Ensure client approved plan is executed with Broadcast, Digital and Out of Home teams to the highest level
    • Be accountable for media budget ensuring it is reconciled on a monthly basis
    • Keep Supervisor/Director informed of client workflow and challenges
    • Assist with other agency projects as requested
    • Leadership:
      • Be an effective role model for media team and agency
      • Foster a positive attitude among fellow agency associates
      • Mentor junior level planners and help them develop into strong media professionals
      • Provide clear effective communication
      • Have an energy level that brings new and exciting ideas to the planning function
